Post Graduate Diploma in TOURISM AND HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT

Travel and Tourism are fast becoming one of the world’s largest group of industries and widely predicted to become the biggest single industry in the 21st century, generating about 11 percent of world GDP and 200 million jobs across the globe. India is also becoming a hot spot for tourism.

In view of increasing need for learned and skilled professionals in this sector, this Diploma programme is designed to develop a cadre of tourism professional for the expanding industry.

 

Programme Coverage

Tourism Concept & Phenomenon; Geography, Domestic & International Destination; Travel Agency & Tour Operations, Transport, Accommodation; Basics of Accounting in Tourism Industry; Management Concepts, Organisational Behaviour, Presentation, Personality Development etc.; Tourism Marketing; Communication and Customer Relations; Air Travel / IATA Regulations; Hospitality and Hotel Operations; Project work

 

Class Schedule :

 

Thursday / Friday / Saturday - 8.00 a.m. to 9.30 a.m.

 

There will be continuous evaluation throughout the course. Students who are falling in attendances and grades will be terminated from the programme. Students will have to spare addtional time for Library assignment, Project work etc.

 

Faculty :

 

A team of qualified professionals will conduct the programme.

 

Qualification: Degree. Candidates who have successfully completed 3 years Diploma Programme after Higher Secondary education can also apply.

Fee :

 

Rs. Rs.14,500/- per participant (Service Tax Inclusive).

 

Employment Successful students will be able to get placement in Travel and Opportunities : Tourism establishments, Hotels, Airlines, Corporate Guest Houses, PR Departments etc. Participants will also gain adequate knowledge to set up own Travel / Tourism establishments.

 

Other Facilities :

 

Being a professional organization AMA is having several educational programmes and activities. Students will be encouraged to take part in such activities. The course aims to provide an overall development of students.
