DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES (JULY TO DECEMBER 2009 BATCHES DATES)
Admission Process and Policy
The admission process ensures scope for admissions for all experienced
degree holders, diploma holders as well as fresh graduates and entrepreneurs.
The admission process consists of:
a) Screening of applications
b) Written Test (in Verbal, Numerical Ability and General Knowledge)
c) Interviews
Sponsored candidates will be given preference provided the admission criteria are met by them. As the medium of instruction is English, a reasonably good command of spoken/written English would be essential.
Pedagogy
In AMA’s diploma programmes, a variety of instruction methods
are followed: Lecture-cum-discussion, case method, group projects
and independent research. The mix varies depending upon the nature
of the course.
Evaluation of Participants' Performance
The objective of evaluation is to ensure that necessary
minimum academic standards are attained by motivating the students
and giving necessary feedback to them on their relative performance
in the programme.
As participative method will be the focus of pedagogy, and analytical skills building the objective, the participants are expected to put effort outside the class both before and after each session. For each session the participants are expected to put in atleast two hours of work outside the class.
Tests and quizzes will aim at evaluating the analytical
approach rather than memory of participants. Participants’ evaluation
is a continuing process and therefore not based on a single examination.
The instructor of each module will announce at the
beginning of the module the weightages of various components such
as class participation, tests, quizzes, attendance, and examinations.
Class Participation is Compulsory. There will be periodical tests
and assignments. The participants have to pass all tests for successful
completion of the programme.
