                        ONE YEAR POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA
IN
INTERNATIONAL MANAGEMENT STUDIES
(July 2016 - June 2017)

 

After its journey of 23 years in Management Education, Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA) is now ready to offer its one-year duration, Post Graduate Diploma program in International Management Studies (PGDIMS). Program design and evaluation system are as per international standards.

PGDIMS is spread over three academic terms and follows modular approach. Courses offered during Trimester-I focus on creating a foundation for learning International Management. Trimester-II courses provide inputs on Management process and functions in global organizational context. Trimester-III emphasizes all Management functions in an international perspective. In fact, global thrust in Program content and pedagogy are well spread throughout all the three trimesters.

The Program is scheduled to commence from July 2016 and has 3 unique features. The entire Program is focused on International Business Management. Secondly, the Program has a greater weightage assigned to strategic aspects of managing global business. Thirdly, participative methods of learning are built into the Program design through courses to be offered as workshops and research projects. Teaching methodology will mainly use case studies and there will be continuous, multi-dimensional evaluation providing full academic freedom to faculty members in course content, teaching process and participants’ evaluation.

Graduates from any Indian University or equivalent, are eligible to apply. Working people will find the days and timings as convenient to them. Admissions will be offered on the basis of performance in test, personal interview and past academic record of the applicants.

(i) Photocopies of Graduation Certificate & Final Year Mark Sheet
(ii) 3 stamp size photographs

Last date for submission of Application : Wed. 1st June, 2016
Admission Test : 10.00 am on Sun. 12th June. 2016
Admission Test Results : 2.00 pm, Mon. 20th June. 2016
(Successful candidates will have to appear for personal interviews- Date of Interviews will be announced along with Test results)

Fee : Rs.60,000 plus Service Tax

Date of Commencement : Mon. 18th July, 2016

Class timing : 7.00 – 8.30 pm (Monday – Friday)

GUIDELINES FOR APPLICANTS

1. Provide complete information as required in the application form.
2. No application form will be accepted after expiry of the last date for
submission.
3. Collect the hall ticket at the time of submission of the duly filled up
application form along with the required attachments.
4. Admission process will consist of academic record, written test and personal
interviews.
5. Admission test will be of 90 minutes and contain multiple choice questions.
6. The test design will aim at knowing proficiency in English language,
quantitative methods, IQ & logical reasoning and general knowledge
(No reading material/text book will be provided by AMA for preparing for
Admission Test. Candidates may refer any relevant text books or material on
their own)
7. Students may use the calculators for admission test. However, candidates will
not be allowed to pass on the calculators to others.
8. There will not be any negative marking for wrong answers.
9. Candidates scoring above the cut-off marks only will be short listed for
interviews.
10. Admissions will be offered on the basis of aggregate performance in all the
components of the selection process.
11. Admissions will be confirmed only after payment of the fees and verification
of various documents submitted by a candidate in support of the application.
12. Selected candidates will have to pay full fees within the prescribed time limit
(normally 3-5 days).
13. Admitted candidates will have to sign an undertaking to ensure behaviour
and commitment to the program.
14. AMA reserves the right to make any change in the above guide lines without
prior intimation to candidates.
