American Corner

The American Corner in Ahmedabad is a partnership between the American Library, U.S. Consulate in Mumbai and Ahmedabad Management Association.

The American Corner provides a window on life and culture in the United States and is the first place to visit for accurate and up-to-date information about political, economic, cultural, educational and social trends in the United States.
 

Resources:

The collection focuses primarily on U.S. foreign policy, management, law, environment, and life and culture in the U.S. It also includes information on teaching English as well as student advising materials.

Individual Enrollment:

Any adult resident of Gujarat (18 years and above) can obtain AC membership by presenting appropriate identification documents with a photograph and residential address in Gujarat (driving license, passport, official ID card, etc.).
Students must produce their current year’s identity card. The applicant is given a user’s card on completing the application form and paying the current service charge (non-refundable).

Membership Fee: Rs. 300/- per year Photocopy charges: Re. 1 per page
Laser Printouts: Rs. 2 per page Internet Surfing: Rs. 20 per hour
