Training Programme for Teachers and Parents

 AMA has been conducting short duration training programme for Teachers and Parents. These include subject like, innovation in Teaching, Developing Study Habits, Value Education, Computer Applications etc. Teaching English etc.

 

School Leadership and Management

This is Post-Graduate Programme (One year) offered by Indira Gandhi National Open University. AMA is promoting the programme as well as conducting contact class. Five sessions are arranged in a year.

 

Municipal Primary School Programme

AMA has been offering a one-day training programme for Municipal School Children. Students from selected schools are brought to AMA by special bus and given training on good manners, Study Habits, Hygiene, Confidence Building, Basic Discipline etc. Each batch has 60 – 70 students. This is a one day programme and students are given food at AMA. The students after a day’s programme are taken back to school by special bus. Few teachers are also accompanied in this visit. No fee is charged for this programme. The Council Members of AMA contributed Rs.15,000 per school to meet the expenses. In the first phase 20 schools were completed. From June 2011 onwards 40 schools will be covered. Municipal Corporation runs 468 schools in different parts of Ahmedabad city. AMA will be covering all these schools within 2 years time.

Along with this programme, AMA has also started training programme for Municipal School Teachers on Teaching English. This initiative will benefit is Municipal Schools in improving the standard and quality.

 

Safe Driving Programme

A safe training has been launched forAuto Drivers of Ahmedabad. This programme provided basic understanding on concentration, Traffic Rules, Driving Discipline, Developing Good Working habits etc.

 

Programme for NGO Functionaries

Several programme have been conducted for NGO officials and functionaries. These are aimed at improving the management skill of the personnel.
