Children today are growing up in a world permeated by mathematics. The technologies used in homes, schools, and the workplace are all built on mathematical knowledge. Many educational opportunities and good jobs require high levels of mathematical expertise. Basic Mathematics is the need of the age. Most of the competitive exams test mathematical, analytical and computational skills along with the verbal skills.

There are a lot of myths prevailing among teachers, parents and students about Mathematics. It is often believed that Mathematics is difficult and therefore every child is not able to learn Mathematics well. Mathematical abilities can be developed by facilitating learning of Mathematics.
