A mutual fund is simply a financial intermediary that allows a group of investors to pool their money together with a predetermined investment objective. The mutual fund will have a fund manager who is responsible for investing the pooled money into specific securities (usually stocks or bonds). Mutual funds are very popular today, known for ease-of-use, liquidity, and unique diversification capabilities.

 

The idea of pooling money together for investing purposes started in Europe in the mid-1800s. The first pooled fund in the U.S. was created in 1893 for the faculty and staff of Harvard University. On March 21st, 1924 the first official mutual fund was born. It was called the Massachusetts Investors Trust.

 

With a view to provide a comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of Mutual Funds, AMA has designed this course “Certificate Course on Mutual Fund’’. The course has been scheduled as per AMFI Mutual Fund Certification Programme.

Session VII : Measuring and Evaluating Mutual Fund Performance
Session VII : Helping Investors with Financial Planning, Recommending the Financial Planning Strategies for Investor
Session VIII : Selecting the Right Investment Products for Investors
Helping Investors Understand Risks in Fund Investing
Session IX : Recommending the Model Portfolios and Selecting the Right Funds, Business Ethics in Mutual Funds
Session X : Objective Test

 

Target Participants:

• All existing mutual fund agents, employees of distribution companies and banks engaged in distribution of mutual funds.
• Students pursuing Management Programmes
• Aspiring candidates to join the companies operating in Financial Market

Fees:

Rs 1500/- + Service Tax: Rs.155/- = Rs.1655/- per participant. Fee includes course fee and refreshment. The cheque may please be drawn in the name of ‘Ahmedabad Management Association.’

After the programme the students can enroll themselves for the National Stock Exchange’s(NSE)’s Certification in Financial Markets (NCFM)for AMFI certification. AMA will also be issuing Certificate after completion of the programme.
