Programme Contents:

The Western World has just started with their new concept of Predictive Maintenance, which is nothing but the technology – oriented sophistication of Preventive Maintenance. In this workshop, we will bring out the comparison between TPM and Predictive Maintenance and also explore why TPM has succeeded. Additionally, we will not merely cover the concept of

TPM, but also discuss the detailed methods and techniques for implementing it in your Organization. The Workshop will also include a brief background of the comprehensive Japanese Management system, which is a pre-requisite, for understanding the relevance of Japanese Management system to India and its practical implementability. It is only then that we can appreciate the true potential of TPM.

Appropriate Technology + an Attitude of Mind TPM
(small resources) (or method of working ) (or miracles)

1. Zero Defect! Is it possible or is it just a slogan?
2. Zero Unplanned Maintenance Downtime! Preclude the need to replace any mechanically wearing part – i.e. the ‘wear-life’ becomes infinite!
The link between (1) & (2)above, and TPM, will be clearly established in the workshop.

Participants:

This programme is essentially designed for the Maintenance and Production Personnel. It is, however, also sincerely recommended for Executives from Personnel, Q.C. The reason for this is that TPM originated from the needs and methods of ‘Zero Defects’ concept, and Total Employee Involvement (TEI). Therefore, for adopting the TPM methods, Personnel, Q.C. and Production have to work in tandem with Maintenance, to meet the required objectives of the optimum life cycle cost of a machine.
