About the Programme :

 


Government had accepted the recommendations of the Commissioner for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes regarding the need for proper training of Personnel so as to enable them to get familiarized with the orders / instructions related to welfare of Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes, including their reservations in service. Accordingly, it was decided that prominent training institutes should organise special programme for the benefit of Personnel Officers and the Liaison Officers working in the Government / PSUs. In pursuance of the decision, AMA has been organizing a designed programme regularly.

 


Objectives :

 

• To update and familiarize the Personnel and Liaison Officers of the Government directives in respect of Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes.
• To provide an opportunity for clarification of doubts in interpreting the directives related to Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes.
• Sharing of experiences of Personnel Officers and Liaison Officers in implementing Government Directives on reservation in Employment to Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes.

 

Contents :

 

• Historical background of reservation policy on SC/ST/OBCs
• Constitutional provisions  safeguards to SC/ST/OBC and scope and applicability of reservation policy
• Relaxations and concessions provided to SC/ST/OBSC
• Procedure for filling reserved vacancies of direct recruitmet.
• Supreme court judgement  in the context of post based reservations.
• Role and functions of liasion officers
• Role and functions of national commssion of SC/ST
• Open house session( doubt and clarification)

 


Methodology :

 

The programme is an interactive one. It is designed to have lectures, discussions, case studies and question-answer sessions.

 

Faculty :

 

The programme faculty would be drawn from the Department of Personnel and Training, National Commission for SCs / STs, and other experts from the Government of Gujarat.

The programme is specially designed for Personnel and Liaison Officers and dealing Assistants, who handle matters relating to SCs/STs/OBCs in Government / PSUs and Other office bearers of SC / ST Associations.

Fee :

 

Rs.4,000/- per participant for non-residential. Residential: Rs.7000/- per participant (two nights). Fee includes programme fee, cost of reading material, lunch and refreshments. The cheque may please be drawn in the name of ‘Ahmedabad Management Association’.
Residential facility can be arranged for outstation participants in nearby hotels (on payment basis).
