Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits (UCP 600) is a set of rules issued by the International Chamber of Commerce that provides guidelines for the issuance and use of Letters of Credit (LC). From understanding how credit works and how payments are made to learning about bills of lading, insurance, and cost coverage, UCP 600 serves as a rulebook to standardize international trade and reduce risks in trading goods and services.
