About AMA Library
The AMA Library is housed at AMA complex and primarily serves the needs of the existing members, Faculty & Staff of AMA. It is a special library on Management.
Our mission is to facilitate current, global and relevant information by identifying, acquiring, organizing and retrieving information in print & digital formats to serve the information needs of the members, faculty, staff, researchers and students of AMA to meet their teaching, research, consulting, training and learning requirements. AMA Library has also extended its facility to Research students undergoing Ph.D. and Research Studies.
AMA library is fully computerized and all housekeeping operations are automated using state-of-the-art library management systems.
AMA Library Working Hours –
- Monday to Saturday: 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Sunday: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Closed on Public Holidays.
OUR COLLECTION
BOOKS: AMA library is a special library on management. It has a collection of 18,500 books, The core area is management and its auxiliary subjects. Apart from this we have a good collection of books on self development Indian economy, industries. We have maintained a valuable collection of books on WTO, International Trade, Tourism and Healthcare.
PERIODICALS: AMA Library is subscribing to 95 magazines and journals.
ARTICLES/NEWSPAPER CLIPPINGS: Library subscribes to 14 newspapers, and all important news items are classified for reference into 115 different subjects headings. This is a very valuable source of information.
REFERENCE BOOKS: There is an updated collection of trade directories on exports, industries, pharma and chemical, fertilizer, ports, advertising, plastics, Tourism, Indian economy, education, insurance, Banking, dictionaries etc.
LANGUAGE LEARNING: Language learning facility is provided through available reference books. The languages included are English, French, German, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, Business English and Russian.
PROJECTS: Library has a collection of project reports done by previous AMA Diploma students. These projects are for reference and cannot be issued or photocopied.
ELECTRONIC RESOURCES: Moving with the changing times AMA Library has facilitated E- Databases for the benefit of its members. These databases include open databases such as Trade Portal of India and other resources.

WHAT’S NEW:
Monthly additions to the library helps the users become aware of the recent acquisitions. AMA Library is sending a list of new arrivals to all its members through emails through its e-newsletter. Library regularly publishes new addition in ‘AMA News’ and ‘Foreign Trade update’.
Library Catalogue:
The Library stock is classified using the Dewey Decimal Classification Scheme. The Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) provides users with a listing of all material available in the Library. It allows searches by keywords, or through several access points like author, title, subject, and class number. In addition to identifying the availability of a book, the OPAC also indicates whether the book is presently available or issued and its due date. Members can use the OPAC for reservation and suggestion also.
Internet Browsing Facility for Members
Library allows the users to access Internet and get the relevant information of their interest. Internet browsing facilities is only for educational purpose. It is available for members in the library @ Rs.20/- per hour.
