Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA) and Lifeline Foundation jointly will be organizing a one day training programme on FIRST AID. Lifeline Foundation is the only organisation in Gujarat to have the triple recognition – it is recognised by Director Industrial Safety and Health (DISH) to conduct First Aid training mandated under Factories Act Section 45(3) as well as Safety Trainings under Factories Act Section 111(A) and it is an International Training Center of American Heart Association (AHA) to conduct its Basic Life Support® training.

This programme on First Aid will involve you in hands-on sessions for handling common emergency situations with special emphasis to Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).

Methodology : The training will begin with initial introduction laying down the aims of first aid and the necessity of learning and doing first aid. Thereafter each training topic will be taken up in detail. Some didactic session will be followed by hands-on training with the participants performing CPR on manikins and checking of vital signs. The hands-on training will be directed at developing capacity of participants by helping them to learn appropriate skills and by pointing out where and what corrections are needed. Individual queries will be answered and myths broken. Participants will be trained on response protocols in for different emergency situations.

• Introduction to First Aid, Good Samaritan Guidelines & Triage
• Vital Signs; Wounds and Bleeding Control
• Disorders of Consciousness
• Bone & Joint Injuries; Splinting
• Burns and Scalds; Head Injuries
• Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) as per American Heart Association guidelines
• Transportation of Accident Victims

Certification : After the completion of training, the trainees will be required to give a post-training test. Those passing it will receive a certificate valid for 2 years.

First Aid Training is mandatory for industries under the Factories Act 1948 as well as Gujarat Factories Rules 1963. These trainings are required to be given by training institutions recognised by Director Industrial Safety and Health, only after which the mandatory requirement of companies is considered to be fulfilled. In this regard, Lifeline Foundation is recognised institute for providing the aforementioned training. The certificate issued after the completion of the training will carry the aforementioned acknowledgement.

Prog. Fee : Concessional fee Rs.1600/- per person including GST. Fee includes course fee, cost of reading material, lunch & refreshment. Cheque should be drawn in favour of ‘Ahmedabad Management Association’.
